JRI Bars
BMX handlebars have been on a wild ride. First they were strong and heavy, then they were small and weak. Fluted and flat came next, followed by seven, ten, and later 13 butts. Four-piece bars enjoyed a brief following ten years ago, and this design is making a comeback. In flatland it never left. Around two years ago somebody—probably an S&M rider—stopped grabbed a pair of Slam Bars and got the whole bar race started all over again. Today the most popular BMX bars are at least eight inches tall with tight bends, a nice back sweep and a crossbar. Butting remains a big part of the arms race, but has anyone really cut a pair down the middle to see if all the hype is really true? We haven’t. Jeremie Infelis chose the geometry of our multi-butted full-sized BMX bars, and they’re quite comfortable. Every BMX company on earth offers a similar handlebar, so talking about bends and sweeps and rises seems almost futile. Our recommendation: go to your favorite bike shop, feel every pair of bars on the wall and buy the ones you like best. If you get a chance to grab our JRI handlebars, we think you’ll be impressed.

Alloy Bar Ends

Not much to say about alloy bar ends, really. You either rely on them, or you don’t. We rely on alloy bar ends for a couple reasons. First, they help strengthen the ends of thin-walled handlebars, which we’ve seen actually get crushed from a big bail. Second, and much more important, they cover the bar end so should you land on them in a crash, the handlebar doesn’t take a core sample out of your belly. We’ve improved our current bar ends by eliminating the nyloc nut for easier tightening, and by using forged instead of cast wedges for greater strength. The ends have been milled out to reduce weight, and there’s new laser etching and colors. Simple.

PC Bar Ends
Bar ends are great parts to make out of plastic, and we make the best plastic bar ends in the business. A molded recess on the back of our bar ends mates perfectly with 7/8-inch handlebars to reduce slipping after an impact. A threaded compression nut tightens the rubber expansion sleeve to lock them in place. Translucent colors match our Poly Pedals perfectly.

Mirracle Grip
Last December three long-time SNAFU distributors called to share their opinions on our Mirracle Grip. Customer number one said it was the best grip he’s ever used. Customer number two said he couldn’t keep them in stock. Customer number three said he couldn’t give them away. If 66 percent of the people love our Mirracle Grip, we’ll call it a homerun. In this age of signature grips look more like golf club handles than bicycle parts, Dave Mirra’s SNAFU Signature grip is a breath of fresh air. Hold a pair and we think you’ll agree. Soft Krayton rubber for comfort, open ended for use with your favorite bar ends.

Simple Grip

The Simple Grip is just that: a simple grip that's perfect for all kinds of bike riding: BMX, freestyle, MTB and race. It features the same soft Krayton construction as our Mirracle Grip, but in a different array of colors. Also, the ends are molded closed. If you want to run bar end plugs, simply install the grips, tap the bar ends with a hammer and the bar will cut out the rubber piece so you can slide the plug into the tube.
