Last year everyone who makes BMX tires learned a tough lesson: 40 bucks or more is a ton of money to spend on a bicycle tire, no matter how advanced or lightweight its technology might be. Our customers spoke, and we listened. Durable SNAFU tires with good old-fashioned wire beads are back. Don’t worry, weight watchersselect models in our rubber range are still available with lightweight flex Kevlar beads. We know the value of a dollar and we’ve spoken with our team riders about both technologies, and everyone agrees wire bead tires make sense in the real world.

Malcolm
Our second-generation multi-surface tire with full wraparound tread is designed for flatland and street. Side tread protects vulnerable sidewalls and increases tire stiffness at high lean angles. Staggered raised knobs on turning edges aids traction under foot during scuffing and toe jams.
Sanford
The evolutionary brother of our top-selling Knob Job tire, designed for dirt, asphalt and parks. Interlocking cross pattern features tight-spaced blocks for consistent traction and smooth rolling at all lean angles. Round cross-section doesn’t “fall off” the edge at high lean angles, making it a great tire for high-speed carving and pumping on trails and snake runs.
Sterly
The smoothest, fastest-rolling tire in the SNAFU arsenal. Designed for parks and Skatelight, but also good for street. Shallow directional grooving with recessed tread lines around perimeter create a smooth center ridge for high speeds; works especially well on vert.
Rim Job
The SNAFU tire that started it all. Wraparound tread pattern looks funky to some, but works the same way and for all the same reasons as our Malcolm tire. Great then and now for flatland, trails and street.
Knob Job
The Knob Job was introduced as a tire for the front wheel to be used in conjunction with our Rim Job, but Knob Jobs front and rear became the preferred setup of SNAFU pros on parks and street. The Knob Job also pairs will with our Malcolm for double-duty on dirt and street. No matter how you choose to run it, the Knob Job is a great tire.
Dirt Box
This is the SNAFU tire that refuses to die. We affectionately call it our Comp III, because year after it still enjoys a loyal following among hard-core dirt riders. Fat tires are the flavor of the month, and at 2.125” the big Dirt Box is our fattest ever. Run it on the front for trails only and use a Sanford or Knob Job on the rear for the toughest set-up from SNAFU available.
